During the Second World War, Chesa Grischuna was one of the preferred hotels of the GI's, the American soldiers who returned after the war for a holiday. Writers and personalities from the film industry also travelled to Klosters to the Chesa Grischuna at this time. So the hotel was soon affectionately called "Hollywood on the rocks".
