Courage for change, courage for radical and timely well-considered decisions and courage to break new ground is Lorenz Wenger’s motto and concern, which runs like a red thread through his life. Especially in current times, in which change is the only constant, courage finds its place in our everyday life again.

Lorenz Wenger: „Courage is when you do it anyway.“

„Courage invites us daily to decide and act. So we always have the choice whether to do something or not. In times of constant change, I am convinced that „courage“ is becoming increasingly important in our everyday lives. To use our decision-making muscle, our attitude towards change and our curiosity, we need courage. Let us bring this courage to life together!“

Lorenz Wenger is: Dare 2 Change. Doer. Lecturer. Communicator. inspirer. Impulser. Motivator. Mental Coach. Trainer. Entrepreneur. Everyday adventurer. Family Man. Bookworm. Coffee Aficionado. Cold shower lover. Runner. Diver. Sailor.

Since 1991 Lorenz Wenger has been involved in communication, whether in agencies or on the corporate side. At the age of 25 he decided to finally do what he had been dreaming of for a long time: he quit his consulting job at a well-known advertising agency, gave up his apartment, packed his bags and moved to the Sinai in Egypt. There he trained as an instructor and worked for three years as a dive guide and instructor, guiding dive groups on dive boats through the Red Sea and training numerous people to become divers. During this time he also learned about the motivating and psychological side of communication.

„Somehow I managed to motivate and inspire 16 people for the next dive despite the wind, high waves and bad atmosphere on the boat. 5 meters below the water surface „the weather“ was calm and pleasant. Sometimes the desired change is right below us. We just have to take the big first step into the water.“

In 2007, after 4 years, he quit his job as a communications manager in a large company, founded a company and built a diving resort in the Philippines, which he managed with his wife, his then 2-year-old son and 15 employees. After only three years of successful development, he was able to sell it and Lorenz moved back to Switzerland with his family, where his daughter was born and where he worked for the next five years as campaign manager in a national NGO.

In 2013 he founded his own company as a sole proprietorship. At first as a sideline and since 2016 self-employed with all his heart and soul. Whether emigrating with his family, letting go, taking new paths, daring something: through his history, Lorenz knows what it means to get involved in new situations, new environments, conditions, new cultures, languages and people.

Lorenz Wenger inspires people and companies to do just that: To find joy, fun, meaning, inspiration and courage to do what they do and to find out why they do it.

Digitalisation, artificial intelligence, robotics, new working models, new forms of organisation, the VUKA world and agility are just a few of the keywords that managers today (have to) deal with. Or just old wine in new bottles? This radical change is taking place and for many it leads to insecurity, disorientation, powerlessness, sometimes even to fear and decision lethargy.

What is often forgotten at this speed is the most important asset of our markets and our economy: people! If people are courageous enough to do what is important to them and find meaning in their actions, they not only have more fun and pleasure, but also more clarity, orientation and security. In business and also in private life.

Lecture „The Courage Momentum“

In many companies reorganizations are the order of the day and agile mindset is in demand. How do we face this current and future change? When will the normal situation finally return? How long does it take for decision lethargy to spread?

Change affects us all! The question remains: how do we deal with it and what opportunities does it offer? Dealing with change requires courageous decisions that are implemented. In this lecture you will learn how courageous decisions lead to courageous actions and habits and ultimately to different results. Based on personal anecdotes, humorous examples and tried and tested tools, Lorenz Wenger shows in a humorous and entertaining way how we find our personal courage to take new paths and to actively shape upcoming changes in the future.

From the content:

  • Quo vadis „courage“: adventure or business?
  • Why courage as a resource will become increasingly important in the future.
  • The courage formula: with these 4 factors, courage is created
  • Recognizing opportunities, taking responsibility.
  • How our actions become habits.
  • How you become twice as brave in only 70 days.
Lecture «Success factor communication»

70% of all difficulties or problems with employees, customers, suppliers and partners are due to inadequate communication, according to a study by KPMG Management Consultants. Whether in discussions with customers, in sales, in negotiations with important partners, in staff meetings or in our personal environment: courageous and effective communication is crucial to our success. But how can we positively influence the impact of our communication? What are the new success strategies for communication in sales and marketing?

From the content:

  • Communication and digitalization.
  • Analogue helps, digital decides.
  • Head or gut, feeling or mind?
  • Our customers: The solution and the good feeling.
  • How pictures are created in the head.
